MoviePro - Pro Video Camera App Reviews

The app is well designed and easy to use, has tons of options but a fatal flaw when actually filming. I have been getting video with significant noise/artifacts, the entire video flickers green and purple and black and white in like a random noise pattern. Wanted to like this app but that doesnt work. Have also had a video where it stopped working a few minutes in but kept recording so the video freezes about half way through. Too many glitches.

I truly love this app, amazing video capture, excellent features and superb quality. The two suggestions I have are to incorporate battery saving features like screen dimming while running, or even black out (not just when recording). As well as audible notification unique for starting and stopping recording. For those of us who use the iPhone in conjunction with a sports case for action but are forced to use a locked device having the app running all the time is very useful but battery drain becomes an issue. The audible indication of course would let is know if we successfully started or stopped recording without have to look at the screen.

Your app controls are much better than filmic, but could you add shutter control? Also could you add an "f" and an "e" over the two reticle a so you know which one sets what ? I think this will make your app the best

Great quality video capture with massive resolution and frame rates. But a HUGE bug somehow with file delete; it hides file but not actually deletes it. I did various HD and 2k rez short vids to test image. These make huge files. After transferring to computer to view and delete out of library and camera roll, wondered why ipad storage was no smaller. Turns out this app kept GIGS of imagery even though i deleted. I checked this with System prefs Usage and saw it was by far the highest user of space. Deleting app took offending hidden doc/files with, and reinstalling made it proper sized app again. PLEASE FIX.

This is a very good video camera app. I have tried a few and this ranks near the top in features and stability.

I wish there was some good video tutorials going in depth about the possibilities of this app. Try and test I guess. Anyway I got truly amazing results with this app and support for moondog labs lens is a real plus. Highly recommended.

Constantly refined, MoviePro simply blows away the other camcorder apps on the App Store. FilmicPro is bloated, poorly written and littered with bugs, and others like Videon don’t get frequent upgrades like Movie Pro. This is a professional app that anyone can easily use. MoviePro offers complete control of your video recordings: resolution, frame rate, bit rate, audio quality and of course auto/manual settings for focus, exposure and white balance. You can save presets for resolution, frame rate and so on for future use. Pretty much any iPhone will be able to record 1080p or better, and if desired (to reduce file size) a host of lower resolutions are available. I record our hockey team’s games and get regular compliments on the clarity and quality of the recordings. The shooting controls are superb. Variable zoom speed, on-the-fly audio levels and easily accessed manual controls are all on the main screen and are transparent to maximize your view of your subject. MoviePro has a basic video editor built in, but the developer makes an editing app (VidPro) which has more editing features. Having thoroughly tested FilmicPro, Videon and others, there is, here in late 2015, no serious competitor to MoviePro. This app has the leanest code, and a developer who is intent on making the best video app on iOS. He has succeeded. The developer of this app listens to user requests and is constantly improving the app.

I have been using MoviePro for almost a year. The quality of the recordings are great and I have control over microphone recording levels and a whole lot more. The microphone I use is the Rode smartLav+. I bought MoviePro after reading several reviews on the top video recording apps. It is simple and powerful and also easy to transfer files to my computer. I have recommended MoviePro to several of my clients. Great App, thank you!

Guys do not update !!!. Apple is forcing them to remove one of our favourite features. The reason we purchased this app. ( We need Steve Jobs back ! )

Simple to use. Works really good. Better then I thought. I really like the ability to quickly select a lower video quality when needed. Recorded the whole kids Christmas show and did not run out of room.

This is the best video recording app on iTunes, I own videon, filmic,procam3, and video zoom pro. And none of them compare to moviepro I make all of my videos with this app it is well worth the money. I paid a lot of money buying video apps filmic was the most expensive and it falls way short compared to this one. I recommend this app to all you video recording people

MoviePro is the best app for recording video on iOS. Written with incredibly lean code, this app wipes the floor with its competition. You can choose a variety of resolutions and FPS settings, as well as video and audio quality settings to balance quality versus file size. You can set focus, white balance, exposure to auto or control them yourself. The zoom controls are fantastic, and you can set the zoom speed as well. Compared to the horrid mess called FilmicPro, MoviePro is professionals dream and is easy enough for the average user. This app is also far superior to Videon and a number of other video recording apps I have tried. MoviePro is leaps and bounds better than any other. I use it to record our hockey teams games, and I cannot recommend this app enough. Get it now!

Bought this app based on reviews, I believe that many of reviews written by friends or supporters of the app producer. However use the original iPhone camera and dont waste your money. This app doesnt have the same quality as iPhone. Wish I could get my money back.

For making a YouTube movie on your phone it has the right amount of setting & features.

This is by far the best Video camera app for iPad Air2!!!! Works Very well and I have tried all the other top rated apps. The user interface controls are set up very nicely. Making me switch to iPad shooting from $3000.00 Hd Canon cameras.

On my iPhone 6 Plus it wont work most of the time, you press the app to open it, it opens but the Camera stays closed, you need to open maybe three or four times before it opens "DONT BUY"

Very good , but wend I bought this , had a spy camera now its gone , I paid for this app wy you take out .. Not even telling anybody .... !!!!!!
